Everything is Fine recalls early photography as a medium initially used for practical and cost-effective way to make a portrait.  In this series the portrait photo is used to perform an erasure of that practical primary function.  These photographs draw on the form and character of historical photography, and aesthetics of Rogier van der Weydenands awkward stiff portrait painting, perplexing costume to reflect relentless and at times futile pursuit to make art by staging and performing the activities and experiments expected of them, reflexively questioning the position of the contemporary artist figure.
